  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced    
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn tortillas
  • Oil for frying

For the Salsa:


  • 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt and pepper to taste



Step To Make Tacos Hondurenos

Step – 1

Cook the meat until it became browned and crumbled in a big skillet on high heat. 

Step – 2

Add the cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, red and green bell peppers, garlic, onion, and all of the ingredients. cook until the vegetables are soft.

Step – 3

Make the salsa while the beef mixture is cooking. 

Step – 4

add the tomatoes, onion, green bell pepper, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Set aside after thoroughly mixing.

Step – 5

Take a small pan with high heat, and warm about 1/4 inch of oil. When the oil looks hot, cook the tortillas for 30 sec per each side it turns golden brown. Dry with paper towels.

Step – 6

Spoon part of the beef mixture onto each tortilla before assembling the tacos. 

Step – 7

Add a spoonful of salsa and any extra garnishes, such as cheese, sour cream, avocado slices, and hot sauce. Serve right away.
